Kid Classes

 

Classes are offered once a week for an 8-week session.

Private classes are available. Call the studio for more information. 

EVERY MONTH

First Friday and Saturday: Adult Potter's Wheel Evening

Second Friday: Family Canvas Night

Third Saturday: Kids' Canvas Night

3 to 5 years old

Children will try out different art mediums as they get an opportunity to explore clay, acrylics, color pencils, stamps-inks, crayons, pastels, and more. Our age-appropriate mixed media projects allow each child to be creative while developing a rich imagination. The last fifteen minutes of each class will be a free choice of musical/parachute play, dress up, and drawing in our fun play room. Children must be accompanied by a parent/caregiver.

5 to 9 years old

9 to 12 years old

Children will learn the fundamentals of art such as color, technique, composition and more. Different mediums such as watercolor, pastels, and pencils will be used. Projects will vary in art styles and media. Students will develop their drawing skills while also exploring fun and alternative mediums.

5 to 9 years old

Children will try out different art mediums in this class as they get an opportunity to explore clay, paints, decoupage, mosaic, and more while developing a rich imagination and expressing themselves and growing through Art. Sign up online, over the phone or in the studio today!

5 to 9 years old

Each week your child will have fun creating beautiful 3-dimensional clay projects. Kids will learn basic info and vocabulary about clay construction and finishing techniques. All pieces will be fired and glazed for finished products. The goal of this class is to bring out your child’s creativity and develop skills.

10 to 15 years old

This class is designed for older kids who want to do more with clay. We will be teaching the building blocks of hand-building techniques (pinch, coil, and slab). If you want to be creative and enjoy a challenge this is the class for you.

10 to 15 years old

Get ready to have a blast! Feel the clay through your fingers as it spins on the wheel. Students will focus on wedging the clay, centering, pulling basic forms, trimming and glazing.

5 to 9 years old

9 to 12 years old

This is a drawing course for young artists to gain better knowledge and increase their observational skills. You will learn how working on art creates focus and calm, as well as learning how to open your mind to new ideas.
