Youth: Beginning Drawing & Painting

This is an entry-level drawing class which will instruct students step by step how to draw and the fundamentals of using the pencil to sketch and design. Different mediums such as watercolor, pastels, acrylics, etc. will be used. Students will draw subjects which inspire them and develop their artistic confidence.

Beginning Potter's Wheel for Youth (10-15 yrs)

Have you ever wanted to make a pot on the potter's wheel? Feel the clay through your fingers as it spins on the wheel? Get ready to have a blast, because this is the class for you. Students will first focus on wedging the clay, centering, pulling basic forms, trimming and glazing. Students will learn to throw cylinders, bowls, and handles for cups. All completed pieces will be glazed and fired. An additional 1 hour practice time per week is available during open studio hours.

Drawing Extravaganza

Children will learn the building blocks of art such as color, technique, shading, composition, and more. Students will develop their drawing skills while also exploring fun and alternative mediums.
