Open Studio and Projects

We offer an Open Studio environment where, in addition to the traditional pottery painting, you can create a variety of art projects. Some of the projects to choose from are: hand building with clay, birdhouses, stepping stones, terra cotta pots, potter's wheel, and more.

You pay for your studio fee and the cost of your art project. It is fun, easy, and a great way to relax! Gather some friends and try this together- we think you'll like it!

Project Pricing

Paint Your Own Pottery! Prices range from $4 to $35:
Pick a piece, some paint, and a cozy spot to create!
Make a Birdhouse $15:
Decorate a wooden birdhouse with beads, buttons and paint!
Paint a Picture Frame: Small $10, Large $15
Simply choose the picture frame you would like to work on, and decorate it with paint or you can even decoupage it! Beads and decorations are also included.
Create a Terra Cotta Pot: Small $5, Large $8
Decorate your pot with beads, buttons and paint!
You can even decoupage your pot for a completely unique look!
Wind Chimes: Glazed $10, Unglazed $15
Select from a variety of pre-made glazed and unglazed shapes. Put together the glazed pieces with beads and pipe cleaners to create a beautiful masterpiece you can hang in your yard or home.
You can even paint some unglazed shapes to add a more personal touch!After the pieces are fired, the shapes can be put together with beads and pipe cleaners on a second visit.

Mosaics

Select from a variety of tiles, colored glass, broken plates, etc. to create something truly unique.Mosaic pieces, glue, and grout are all included.

Precious Prints

Want to create a memorable keepsake that will last for years to come? Precious Prints are a creative way to create a lasting impression of little hands or feet. Precious Prints can even be made to record paw prints of your beloved dog or cat. We will help you to create your impression on soft non-toxic clay and will decorate and arrange the print to your specifications. Once the print has dried (the drying process may take up to 3 weeks), we will fire your print and you can come back and glaze it. If you do not want to paint it, we also have several mid-fire glazes to choose from. Precious Prints are a lengthy process but we assure you that we will take the utmost care in providing you with a one-of-a-kind gift.

Stepping Stones

Wet $22, Dry $25
This project can be done either wet or dry.For the wet process we mix wet cement, place it in a mould, then the guest presses in various tiles, glass beads, rocks, etc. In the dry process, you select a premade form and glue on various pieces. Once it dries, we will grout your creation.Whichever way you choose, you will surely create a one-of-a-kind piece!

Walk-In Clay

Buy some clay, find a cozy spot, and create a project of your choice.
The Studio Fee for clay play is $22 per person for all ages plus the price of your clay.
*The Fee includes use of the studio and tools, a small 5-minute tutorial, and two 1.5 hour studio visits (one to create and one to paint).Each person may keep up to 2 clay pieces.
Additional pieces will range between $1- $2.The two firings and glaze are included.
(Allow up to two weeks for drying and firing).

Colorful Clay Play

The Studio Fee for colorful clay play is $18 per person for all ages.
The Fee includes the use of the studio and tools, a small 5-minte tutorial, and a one-time 1.5 hour studio visit to create a work of art out of earthy clay colors.
3lb. of clay are provided, along with the two firings and glaze.
Each person may keep up to 2 clay pieces. Additional pieces will range between $1- $2.
(Allow up to two weeks for drying and firing).

If you would like to have us fire a piece that is not from our studio, the fees are as followed:
*Bisque Fire (1st Firing): 5 cents per cubic inch per piece.
*Glaze Fire (2nd Firing): 8 cents per cubic inch per piece. We fire up to cone 5 (mid-fire).
*Glazing: if you would like to use the studio to glaze your pieces- $8 (an hour).

Private Handbuilding Lesson

Choose one clay piece to create: plate, mug, bowl, animal bank, etc. The Private Lesson includes two visits; the first visit is for creating the project, and the second visit is for glazing your project (allow two weeks for drying and firing). Included in the mini-lesson is the instruction, clay, glaze, and the firing fees. Each visit is roughly an hour long.

1st visit: 1-1/2 hours of instruction and creating
2nd visit: 1 hour to glaze
1 person: $45
2 people: $30 per person
3 or more people: $25 per person

Private Handbuilding with Colored Clay Lesson

Includes: 3 lbs. clay
1 visit: 1-1/2 hours of instruction and creating
Each piece will be fired with a clear glossy glaze.
1 person: $45
2 people: $30 per person
3 or more people: $25 per person

Potter's Wheel Mini-Lesson

Our potter's wheel lesson is a great way to explore clay and gain knowledge about different techniques. The lesson includes two studio visits, detailed instruction, the use of our glazes, and also two firings. The first visit is for throwing pots on the wheel and the second visit is for glazing. Allow up to two weeks for drying and firing. Mini lesson participants must be at least 10 years of age. Up to six people may participate in the potter's wheel mini-lesson. Due to the nature of the potter's wheel, the number of pieces will vary.

Private Lesson: $85. One person max.
Semi-Private: $70 per person. 2 person max.

Additional time is $30 per hour/per person.
