Adult: Potter's Wheel

Get ready to have a blast! Feel the clay through your fingers as it spins on the wheel. Students will first focus on wedging the clay, centering, pulling basic forms, trimming and glazing. Adult class- $25 per bag of clay.

Intro to Mosaic

This Beginner Mosaic class is a great introduction to Mosaics! This 6 week course will cover many different materials and you will create up to 3 class projects. Class will focus on basic designs for mosaics and using different types of materials and surfaces. Using mosaic tools you will learn to cut glass, break plates and tile. No experience necessary. Ages 14 and up.

Mosaic Topiary

You will design and create a 3-D Styrofoam Topiary using many different types of materials. Your topiary will be the envy of all your friends. No experience necessary. Ages 14 and up.

Intro To Pique Assiette Mosaic

Pique Assiette is a style of mosaic using a variety of recycled materials. What a great way to recycle and reuse old plates and ceramics! Students will learn cutting techniques as well different design methods. The class project will be a wooden tray or cement stepping stone. No experience required. Ages 14 and up.

Adult: Ladies Night Mosaics

The Art Beat welcomes you and your girlfriends for two evenings of creativity, fun, and art. With or without experience, this class will be an enjoyable way to spend an evening making a personal work of art. All of the basic tools needed to complete this project will be provided for class use. The materials fee covers materials such as adhesives, tiles, mosaic base and grout. Also, feel free to bring in food and beverages.

Adult: Beginning/Intermediate Mosaics

Students will design and create their own mosaic pieces. Class will focus on basic designs for mosaics, using different types of materials and surfaces. Using mosaic tools, you will learn to cut glass, break plates and tile. Advanced students will lay patterns and create unique pieces of art. No experience necessary, beginning and returning students welcome. Materials fee covers all materials necessary to take the class and is paid to instructor at the first class.
